Organization Background
CROPA is an association that was started by elected leaders of Older Persons (OPs), from a majority of the 27 districts of Uganda’s Central Region.
It was registered in 2022 after holding two general meetings to consider the need for inter-district coordination and networking of leaders of OPs on behalf of, and for the benefit of all OPs. OP leaders realized that this arrangement gives OPs a united voice and allows them to express opinions, allows OPs to help each other and makes OPs more visible.
The association enables networking and coordination, opens doors to new opportunities and makes it easier for OPs to meet policy makers. The inter-district network influences things positively and expands OPs support network
